Physics & Maths Tutor and Coaching in Kampala, Uganda

One-on-one physics coaching and maths coaching for UCE and UACE students — built around UNEB's assessment techniques, worked from first principles, and drilled until exam day feels routine.

This is roughly how the first lesson on projectile motion goes in my classes, we derive it once, and the panic to memorise the formula disappears.
What I teach

Four programmes, one exam board in mind: UNEB.

Every lesson is planned against the actual UCE and UACE syllabus and past-paper patterns — not a generic curriculum. Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level learners are also welcome.

O-Level

UCE Physics

Mechanics, heat, waves, electricity and magnetism — built from everyday Ugandan examples before the equations.

Senior 1–4
O-Level

UCE Mathematics

Algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics, delivered alongside continuous assessments.

Senior 1–4
A-Level

UACE Physics

Full mechanics, fields, waves and modern physics, plus the practicals paper — including apparatus you'll actually see in the exam room.

Senior 5–6
A-Level

UACE Mathematics (P425/P525)

Pure Maths and Statistics/Applied papers, with a heavy focus on the paper-splitting strategy UNEB rewards.

Senior 5–6
How lessons run

A fixed sequence, because exam preparation isn't guesswork.

The order matters — each stage exists for a reason.

01 — diagnose

Free diagnostic lesson

Before we start, I sit with the student's last three tests or a past paper to find exactly which topics need to be rebuilt from scratch or polished.

02 — build

Concept from first principles

Every formula is derived on the board before it's used. Students who understand where an equation comes from stop panicking when a question rephrases it.

03 — practice

Guided problem sets

Weekly problem sets pulled from UNEB past papers 2010–2025, marked with the same scheme examiners use, so students see exactly where marks are lost.

04 — drill

Timed exam simulation

In the final term before UCE or UACE, sessions shift to full timed papers under exam conditions, followed by a mark-by-mark review.

I went from failing every mechanics test in S5 to leading my class discussion group by the mock exams. The board derivations made the difference.

He doesn't just solve the problem, he shows you the two ways UNEB likes to twist it. That's what the past-paper drills were for.

My daughter's confidence changed completely after the diagnostic lesson — he found the exact topic she was stuck on in ten minutes.

About your tutor

I'm the teacher who is willing to work with you throughout every Mathematics & Physics Problem.

I'm Manzi Delick — I hold a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from Kyambogo University and have spent the last two years teaching Senior 1 through Senior 6 students across Kampala, at Hana International School and now working hybrid as an independent tutor.

I've sat in on UNEB marking workshops and studied the examiners' reports every year since 2024, which shapes how I teach: less "cover the syllabus," more "understand exactly how each mark is awarded." Lessons run in-person around Kampala or online by video call for students upcountry.
